 | | | Back to preliminary programme Practical action towards Adaptive Management - Feedback from the NeWater Case studies: what have we found? An overview of the diversity of the case study can be found in the poster here. In the NeWater project, Seven case studies were implemented in different basins in Europe (Rhine, Elbe, Guadiana, Tisza), Central Asia (Amudarya) and Africa (Orange and Nile). Emphasizing the link between empirical research and practical activities in these test basins, this session aims to illustrate how advances in thematic research have been implemented in different ways and at different scales. In each of these cases, a selection of methodological approaches have been developed to address stakeholder priorities, providing an opportunity to investigate how common issues may be addressed in very different circumstances. Through the provision of real examples based on cross-cutting themes, the case study teams will present their experiences in addressing the challenges of adaptive and integrated water resource management.
