Training objective: As a pre-event to the International Human Dimensions Programme 7th Open Meeting -“Social Challenges of Global Change”, the objective of the training course is to familiarize university instructors with the material provided in the online curriculum, Adaptive River Basin Managment, with respect to both the content of the modules, as well as the use of the materials in designing new programmes or incorporating these into existing teaching curricula.
Approach: The course begins with an introduction to the theoretical foundations of adaptive water management. Participants will work directly with the online curriculum during this training session, and will be able to use the available material in their own course design. The training session will, at the same time, provide valuable feedback to the team that has developed the site on the use of the teaching materials.
Who may participate: The training course will involve the participation of a maximum of 20 participants, who are or will be teaching water management issues in their courses and are interested in including Adaptive Water Management concepts and methods in their teaching curricula.
